A .360 (No.5) SINGLE-SHOT ROOK & RABBIT RIFLE, MODEL 'THE ECLIPSE', serial no. 4193,
built on Comblain's patent circa 1885, with blued round 28in. barrel, flat matted sighting plain with dove-tailed fore-sight and dove-tail for rear-sight (sight absent), the sighting plane signed near breech 'WATSON BROS 4 PALL MALL, LONDON', side of breech marked 'HENRY'S RIFLING', slab-sided falling block action, the left face engraved 'THE ECLIPSE' (traces of colour), central exposed hammer, straight angled trigger, the trigger-guard bow forming the opening lever, chequered pistol-grip walnut butt-stock with roll engraved iron heel-plate and gadrooned horn grip-cap, chequered walnut splinter fore-end and rounded horn tip, overall length 43 1/4in., weight approximately 5lbs.
