A 50-110 (WCF) LEVER-ACTION SPORTING-RIFLE, MODEL 'ENGLISH MODEL 1886', serial no. 152236A,
for 1912, with blued round 25 7/8in. barrel, the top signed 'MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN CONN. U.S.A' and with patent dates to Jan. 20 1885, nickel beaded fore-sight, scarce short express three-leaf rear-sight, slab-sided receiver (traces of colour), blued bolt and hammer, top-tang marked 'MODEL 1886', 'WINCHESTER' and 'TRADE MARK REG. IN. U.S. PAT. OFF.', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with iron shotgun heel-plate, iron finger-lever (strong traces of finish), walnut fore-end and blued nose-cap, fitted with a half-length tubular under-barrel magazine, overall length 44 1/4in., weight approximately 8 1/2lbs.
