A SCARCE BOXED .22 BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'MKII MERCURY', serial no. ZB9468,
manufactured between 1976-78, with stove-enamelled 18 1/2in. barrel, plastic ramp fore-sight with tunnel protector, plastic adjustable rear-sight, stove-enamelled air-chamber with model name washed in gilt fill between the machined telescopic sight rails, black enamel-finished trigger unit, plain pale beech half-stock, ventilated rubber recoil pad and one-piece cocking-link, the whole in unused condition in its makers white card carton with polystyrene inner tray, target holder and targets, instructions, inspection card and oil-bottle (contents evaporated), missing pellet sample
Provenance: Prospective buyers should note that BSA air-rifles from this period along with some other manufacturers products can suffer from degradation of seals and washers. Because of its external condition, this rifle has not been tested for functionality
