CROSMAN (CANADA) LTD.
A BOXED .177 CO2-POWERED AIR-PISTOL, MODEL '38T', no visible serial number,
with receipt dated 1979, black painted 6in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight, adjustable rear-sight, blacked frame with static moulded 'cylinder', double action mechanism with exposed hammer and chequered brown plastic grips, appearing virtually unused in its makers polystyrene and card carton with clearing rod, original pellet sample and paperwork (untested)
Provenance: Interestingly, this pistol heralds from a time when Co2 powered airguns were a rare commodity in the UK. Victims of the 1968 Firearms act, Co2 airguns were classified as section 1 weapons, basically the same as if they were actually live cartridge weapons. This was reversed in the 1997 Firearms act. A receipt from a Toronto retailer for the sum of $63.81 (including sales tax) remains in the box together with a receipt from H.M. Customs, Manchester Airport for £2.25
