SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', and '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip action with slender toplever engraved '1', removable striker discs, automatic safety with brass 'SAFE' plaque, intercepting sears, fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded bordering, brushed and reblued finish, 15in. well-figured stock, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
