possibly Sind, early to mid 19th century, with symmetrical crescent shaped blade etched and inlaid with yellow metal koftgari borders and an islamic inscription to a central arabesque panel, the reverse with flat square pean carved with a dual signature, ball finial to the top of shaft, itself engraved with spirally decorated panels alternating with plain faceted sections (some cleaning and detail loss), the pommel also with ball finial
