circa 1840, with fully fluted 2 3/4in. six-shot barrel group, moulded iron nipple-shield, rounded boxlock bar-hammer action with guarded trigger, chequered walnut grips, iron grip-cap with central trap, the action cleaned with some shallow pitting and complete with a possibly period walnut case relined and compartmented in green baize and complete with a later flask, loading rod, turn-screw and oil-bottle, the inside of lid unlined and bearing a gummed parchment label for the Robert Hughes 'UNIVERSAL FIRE ARMS WORKS', Birmingham
