circa 1850, with expertly re-browned damascus 30in. barrels rifled for belted ball, the top-flat inlaid in gold gothic script 'BECKWITH, LONDON', silver tipped dove-tailed blade fore-sight, three flush folding rear-sight leaves with central lines, further gold bands to breech, fully scroll engraved top-tang, fully border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'BECKWITH', scroll engraved dolphin headed hammers, chequered figured walnut half-stock, gold rectangular clipped-corner escutcheon behind top-tang engraved with a 'W.B.' monogram and '28 CHEAPSIDE, LONDON' within a garter, plain iron heel-plate with scroll engraved spur, scroll engraved trigger-guard tang and bow, stylised pineapple finial, scroll engraved gold barrel key escutcheons, scroll engraved pineapple finialled ramrod throat and original brass mounted ebony ramrod, complete with its makers walnut storage case with brass corners, a central escutcheon to lid engraved 'WM. BOYLE, 28 CHEAPSIDE, LONDON', small parchment Beckwith trade-label inside lid and lined and compartmented in green baize (some fading and discolouration) and including a scissors belted-ball mould, a good pigskin covered powder-flask signed Dixon and a number of felt wads
