circa 1800 with later conversion to percussion from flint, with slightly shortened twist damascus 28in. barrels, raised top-rib signed in gilt 'ATLEY, CANTERBURY', gold lines at breech, engraved top-tang, conversion via drum and nipple, bevel-edged flat locks with engraved stepped tails and originally signed within rectangular gold poincons below the pan cut-outs (poincons replaced with yellow metal blanks), walnut half-stock with repair at wrist, raised cheek-piece, iron furniture and original ebony ramrod with tip missing
