AN UNUSUAL PAIR OF PERCUSSION 150-BORE OVER-UNDER OVERCOAT PISTOLS WITH SELECTIVE HAMMERS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1840, with lozenge profile over-under 4in. barrels with deep central flutes. the top of breech each with twin nipples, integral narrow slab-sided boxlock actions etched with running vines and signed within the decoration on the right side 'GOSSET', and each with a single central hammer, their elongated noses each with a selectable striker, the central position acting as a safe, walnut grips with fluted grip-panels, iron butt-caps etched as the action bodies but with scalloped edge and moulded trigger guard bows with shallow curved spurs, no provision for ramrods
