serial number on barrel only, dated for August 1979 and Gunmakers code number for Walter Outschar, 25 5/8in. octagonal barrel with raised matt rib, open sights and ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the breech end with quickly-detachable telescopic sight mount bases, the action carved with bold Germanic scroll engraving surrounding relief engraved game scenes of chamois and wild boar, side-mounted safety, 14 7/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with sculpted cheekpiece, hogsback comb, birdshead pistolgrip with cap, sling swivels, fish scale chequering, the fore-end with horn schnabel tip, weight 6lb. 1oz.
