A RARE .177 BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'THE GREENER AIR RIFLE', serial no. 472,
circa 1935, with blued 20in. rifled barrel, ramp fore-sight with dove-tailed blade, standing notch rear-sight with elevation screw, the side of breech block stamped with the serial number and 'No.1 BORE', large rotating cammed locking catch, plain air-chamber engraved 'THE GREENER AIR RIFLE' over 'W.W. GREENER LTD, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM' over 'PATENT No. 411520' (all possibly applied post manufacture), plain walnut butt-stock with saw-backed pistol-grip and blued iron heel-plate, blued iron trigger-guard with trigger adjustment screw and one-piece cocking link, the whole retaining much apparently original blued finish
