* A .69 PERCUSSION SWISS CANTONAL (ST. GALLEN) RIFLED MUSKET, serial no. 41*62,
circa 1850, with 42in. barrel rifled with four grooves, bayonet stud on underside at muzzle, blade front-sight and quadrant rear-sight, marked at the breech '41*62. ST. GALLEN', together with the small maker stamps of a crowned 'B.F.', the lock of flintlock form, plain and unmarked except for a small makers stamp identical to that on the barrel, fitted with heavy percussion hammer, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock, three spring retained barrel bands, the top band incorporating a nosecap, two piece trigger-guard with finger grips to tang, complete with sling swivels, rod an over long replacement
