circa 1895, with blued 25in. barrel, block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, tangent rear-sight, plain colour hardened slab-sided action signed on the right side, colour-hardened feed-ramp, walnut straight-hand butt-stock with colour hardened Swiss-style heel-plate, complex under-lever forming the trigger guard, double set triggers, walnut three-quarter length fore-end with single barrel-band and nose-cap with provision for clearing-rod (rod absent), the whole with virtually all colour and finish intact and fitted with a period leather sling
