* A .69 PERCUSSION SWISS CANTONAL THREE BAND MUSKET AND BAYONET, serial number 1416,
circa 1840, 42in. sighted barrel with bayonet stud on underside at muzzle, the breech struck with Liege proofs and the makers mark of a crowned 'B.F', together with a deeply struck canton heraldic emblem, the lock of flintlock form, plain and unmarked except for a small makers stamp of a crowned 'B.F.', fitted with a heavy percussion hammer, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock with three spring retained iron barrel bands, two piece trigger-guard with finger grips in tang, the musket of typical continental style complete with sling swivels and a triangular socket bayonet (no scabbard) ramrod missing
