circa 1897, with blued 4in. barrel fitted with replacement built-up blade, the top-strap marked for the retailer 'JUAN LOPEZ, RIVADAVIA, 611, BUENOS AIRES', break open frame with quick-release automatic ejecting fluted cylinder, frame mounted firing pin, double action mechanism and oversized chequered hard rubber 'overcoat' grip, much finish remaining
Provenance: According to Gordon Bruce & Christian Reinhart's publication 'Webley Revolvers', the lowest serial number previously recorded was no. 1656 and it is believed the numbering continued on from the MKII series
