A 54-BORE FLINTLOCK BOX-LOCK POCKET PISTOL SIGNED 'SOUTHALL', no visible serial number, circa 1800, with 2 1/2 in. turn-off steel barrel, box-lock engraved 'J. / Southall' to one side with a floral design over, sliding safety, slab-sided butt with white metal oval escutcheon engraved 'EH', engraved trigger-guard, London Proofs, barrel and lock both marked '1' indicating was originally one of a pair, barrel frozen, some staining to the metalwork and a little shallow denting to the butt, 7 1/4 in. overall
