LONDON', replacement dove-tailed brass fore-sight, rear-sight absent, the breech end marked 'PATENT NO. 9711 DETACHABLE BARREL 1624' and 'FOR .300 SPECIAL CARTRIDGE', triangular trademark to nocksform, slab-sided Martini-type action marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS SHERWOOD RIFLE' on the left hand side, fitted with a period peep-sight from another to left side of action (sight incomplete), chequered walnut straight-hand butt-stock, smooth iron heel-plate and under-lever, chequered walnut fore-end, traces of finish, chequering rubbed smooth
