with 2 5/8in. swivelling plated barrels one flat marked 'AMERICAN ARMS CO. BOSTON MASS' and on the other flat 'PAT. OCT 21. 1865-JUNE 19. 1866', plated brass frame with sheath trigger, squared butt with two piece rosewood grips
Provenance: This pattern of pistol was produced 1866 to 1878 in .22, 32, 38 and 41 rimfire with a total production of 5000, however less than 400 were made in .41 rimfire
