circa 1862, with 6in. round barrel, dovetailed fore-sight, plain cylinder, hinged frame, central hammer, selectable trigger (springs weak), smooth replacement walnut one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel rammer, the whole cleaned of original finish and with isolated patches of pitting, in a later walnut case adapted for this revolver, compartmented and lined in blue baize, with reproduction 'Starr Arms Co.' label inside lid
