with 7 3/8in. octagonal barrel, the top flat stamped with the Remington address and patent legends, fitted with underbarrel loading lever, plain six shot cylinder, solid frame and two-piece walnut grips, refurbished and nickel-plated at some time in the past, now starting to flake, the top of the cylinder arbour pin broken and missing
Other Notes: Approx. 28,000 New Model Navies were made 1863 to 1875 making this an early specimen
