* A RARE MODEL 1854 DANISH SOCKET BAYONET FOR THE SUHL RIFLE, circa 1848, with 15 1/2 in. triangular blade fullered on each side, inspection marks on ricasso,with Kyhl's spring lock, overall length 21 in.; the bayonet was originally for use with the Dornbuchse M1849 rifles in the service of the Prussian-supplied Schleswig-Holstein forces rebelling against Denmark 1849–1851; the rifles and bayonets were taken into Danish service and reissued as the Suhler Tapriffel Model 1854
