A .177 WEBLEY & SCOTT 'MK3 SUPERTARGET' AIR-RIFLE, serial no. F667,
one of the last produced in 1975, with blued tapering 18 1/2in. barrel, Anschutz type tunnel fore-sight and diopter rear-sight fitted on a short rail to the trigger unit, no provision for a standard rear-sight, sintered iron squared tap-handle, blued air-chamber marked 'SUPERTARGET' lengthways and the make and model details crossways just forwards of the trigger unit, dark walnut half-stock inlet with a circular white 'WEBLEY' logo to left side of butt and push-button underlever release, some minor marks to wood but generally collector's condition throughout
Provenance: Webley MK3 Supertargets last appeared in adverts in 1974, being taken over by the new Osprey Supertarget in 1975. According to Christopher Thrale, 'Webley Air Rifles 1925-2005', serial no. F667 was one of a batch of 59 Supertargets assembled and tested on the 12th of April 1975 by 'Joe' and 'David'
