A RARE PRE-WAR .177 DIANA MODEL 26'U' UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
manufactured between 1933-39, with blued tapering 16in. barrel, dove-tailed fore and rear-sights, tap-action breech, plain blued air-chamber without provision for telescopic sight and marked with the Diana Huntress trademark over 'MODEL 26' and 'MADE IN GERMANY', beech half-stock with semi pistol-grip and grooved fore-end, the wrist retro-fitted with a period but unassociated BSA folding peep-sight, later brass heel-plate but otherwise retaining much original finish throughout
