circa 1860, with octagonal 4 1/2in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle and scroll engraving at throat, border and scroll engraved top-strap, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame with inverted 'Y' shaped safe-spring, borderline engraved five-shot plain cylinder with rope twist border to leading edge, one-piece chequered walnut saw-handled grip and Tranter's patent trigger cocking mechanism and signed rammer, strong traces of finish remaining, in a later wood case with reproduction accessories
