circa 1800, with 2 1/2in. turn-off brass barrels numbered '7' and '8' respectively and starred at muzzle for a barrel key, brass frame with iron fittings, tap-action box-lock with central cock (cracked and repaired) and sliding frizzen-lock, engraved with martial trophies with central oval panels to each side and marked 'WHEELER' to the left and 'LONDON' to the right, slab-sided butt, London proofs on frame in front of trigger-guard, lightly cleaned, 8in. overall
