A SCARCE A.A. BROWN & SONS .177 CONCENTRIC-PISTON LEVER-COCKING AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'ABAS MAJOR', serial no. 1408
circa 1946, with 7 1/2in. tap-loading concentric barrel, the blued air chamber stamped 'ABAS MAJOR, the cocking lever marked ' REG DESIGN 845425', and 'A.A.BROWN AND SONS B'HAM', the reverse with the 'ABAS' trade logo and 'PROV PAT', rare chequered 'Webley-type' brown bakelite grips with 'ABAS' embossed to the tops, pellet gauge to cocking handle, strong amount of finish remaining
Provenance: Despite being just post-war manufacture, these air-pistols are classed as pre '39 by UK authorities
