* A .450 (3 1/4IN.) EXPRESS MARTINI-ACTION SPORTING RIFLE BY W.W. GREENER, serial no. GRE28,
circa 1880, with blued tapering 28 3/4in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, borderline engraved receiver with rounded corners, the left side marked '28' over 'MARTINI PATENT', the right side with 'W.W. GREENER, ST MARY'S WORKS BIRMINGHAM' (rubbed), a scroll engraved cocking indicator over the silver inlet wording 'COCKED', a sliding safety catch which when applied forms the silver inlaid wording 'SAFE', chequered figured walnut straight-hand butt-stock with rubber heel-plate (perished), short blued under-lever and chequered walnut splinter fore-end with schnabel tip, fitted with eyelets for sling, older refinish throughout
