A 12-BORE ANSON 1884 PATENT BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 33525,
circa 1885, 30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, wave cut rib with a banner engraved 'I. HOLLIS & SONS LONDON', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action incorporating Anson patent ejector system, patent no. 15299 of 1884, use number 5010, finely engraved slender toplever, automatic safety with brass 'SAFE' plaque, intercepting sears, varied ornate bordering styles surrounding game scenes of hound and fowl, the underside with an elaborate floral design, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. stock including horn buttplate, bolstered fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release and horn finial, weight 6lb. 10oz.
