CHARLES LANCASTER 12-BORE BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 5352, for 1882, 30in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrels (loose on action), the rib engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151 NEW BOND STREET LONDON BREECH LOADING HAMMERLESS GUN' and silver-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, some pits, early Anson 1875 patent action, patent no. 1756, use number 8765 with 1871 patent toplever, carved serpentine fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving, 14 5/8in. stock (cracked through and repaired at hand), bolstered fore-end with silver oval engraved '2', lipped steel finial, weight 6lb. 7oz.
