A COMMON SOCKET PATTERN 1876 'LUNGER' BAYONET FOR THE MARTINI-HENRY RIFLE, dated 1889, with 22 in. triangular steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso with inspection marks, 'WD' and Broad Arrow, 'sold out of service' mark on socket, together with its brown leather scabbard with brass mounts carrying WD and inspection marks, blade stained, socket with some pitting, scabbard dry with split stitching, 25 1/2 in. overall
