A SHIN-GUNTO MOUNTED WORLD WAR TWO JAPANESE KATANA WITH SMITH-MADE ARSENAL BLADE,
circa 1940, with 27in. slightly curved blade signed on both sides of the tang and stamped with an assembly number '529', visible hamon, white metal habaki, regulation cast and chiselled tsuba mounted with scabbard lock, khaki cotton binding over ray-skin, in its olive-brown painted scabbard (dent to upper edge near tip)
