for 1899, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 2013), rib engraved 'ALEXr. HENRY & CO. 18. FREDERICK ST. EDINBURGH.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true and imp. cyl., treble-grip action, automatic safety, intercepting sears, beaded border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock with partially engraved steel heel and toe plates, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a canvas and leather case.
Literature: According to his definitive book 'Alexander Henry Rifle Maker', esteemed historian & author Donald Dallas lists this gun as being completed on 15th December 1899 as a 'third quality hammerless gun'
