A SCARCE CASED .442 (CENTREFIRE) P. WEBLEY & SON MODEL '1 1/2' REVOLVER, serial no. 28873,
circa 1885, with blued octagonal 4 3/8in. barrel, conical muzzle, nickel blade fore-sight, the top-strap signed 'P.WEBLEY & SON, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM' to the sides of the sighting groove, solid frame marked 'WEBLEY'S No. 1 1/2 .442 C.F.' to the left side of barrel throat, wingnut cylinder pin release and frame mounted safe spring, plain cylinder with ratchet stops to rear, double action mechanism, chequered walnut grips with ejector rod stored in heel, strong amount of original blued finish remaining, in a blue baize lined period oak storage case with lidded ammunition compartment, cleaning rod, turn-screw and oil bottle
