A CASED PAIR OF 22-BORE PERCUSSION OVERCOAT PISTOLS SIGNED E. PATRICK, no visible serial numbers,
probably converted from flintlock, with 4in. browned octagonal barrels, the top-flats signed 'LIVERPOOL', bead fore-sights and moulded standing notch rear-sights to the engraved top-tangs, borderline and acanthus scroll engraved colour hardened locks signed 'PATRICK', dolphin headed hammers with bolted safes behind, walnut full-stocks with chequered bag-shaped grips, white metal furniture including lion mask pommel-caps, engraved trigger guard bows with pineapple finials and ramrod throats, captive iron swivel ramrods, much finish and colour remaining and in a fitted walnut case lined in red velvet (faded), original arched trade-label inside lid and including a three-way flask, squared oil bottle, loading rod, and scissors mould, all possibly original to the pistols, the case lid with flush fitting rectangular brass handle engraved with the initials 'T.G' and an armorial of a rampant winged griffon with a sword aloft above a wreath
