circa 1855, with 9in. browned laminated barrel, faceted breech-end and squared breech, the top signed 'WILKINSON, LONDON', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, platinum vented plug, border and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'WILKINSON' with bolted safe behind the engraved hammer, walnut full-stock with swept and chequered grip swelling at the pommel and fitted with a domed engraved iron cap with central trapdoor, guarded trigger with full tang, stylised pineapple finial, horn fore-end tip and captive iron rammer, traces of finish
