dated 1878, with 32 1/2 in. sighted barrel with proof, inspection, and 'sold out of service' marks, dropping block lever action, large cocking indicator, receiver marked 'S . X' for Strengthened Extractor and stamped with 'VR / ENFIELD / 1878 / lock-viewer's mark / II / 2' plus inspection and sold out of service marks, walnut stock, butt with faint Broad Arrow and 'WD' roundel, '802 / 89' sold out of service mark and 'R.I.C' (Royal Irish Constabulary) butt disc, sling swivels and cleaning rod, refinished and stock varnished, barrel band a replacement, receiver queen's crown rubbed out, small loss to right fore-end under the rear sight and at the butt where it joins the receiver
