A RARE .177 (BB) SPORTAMATIC FAIRGROUND CONSTANT-FEED AIR-POWERED MACHINEGUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1950, with chrome-plated 27 1/2in. barrel including reverse conical turned muzzle-brake, the first half of the barrel with chromed ventilated barrel jacket, squared folded steel body in loose style of a .30 Calibre Browning finished in metallic blue paint, chromed pillar fore-sight and ring rear-sight, the body with short tubular hopper for steel bb's and a flat chromed plate marked 'SPORTAMATIC, PATENT', twin spade-grip handles to rear with central push-button trigger, the front of body with air inlet pipe, the whole mounted on its original chrome plated tripod drilled for bench-mounting, some loss to painted finish and frosting to chromed areas

Provenance: Depending on the air-source or compressor used, this air machine-gun originally gave a cyclic rate of between 400-1000 rpm
