third series circa 1937, with reblued 25 1/2in. sighted barrel numbered to the rifle (possibly re-marked .250), push-button barrel release, bolt handle locking catch, reblued air-chamber with the make and model details to the left hand side and five lines of patents to the right, refinished trigger-unit with no safety catch (finish 'purpled'), walnut chequered saw-handled butt-stock, adjustable peep-sight and ribbed horn heel-plate
