Product Details
A GOOD AND EARLY .177 BSA 'AIRSPORTER MKII' UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, serial no. EE4687,
with blued and tapering 18in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight retaining its original flat-topped tunnel protector, folding notch rear-sight, automatic loading tap, blued air-chamber of 'Airsporter' length etched with the BSA 'arrow' trademark along with the name 'AIRSPORTER', twin short machined telescopic sight rails, stove enamelled sloping trigger unit, walnut three-piece laminated half-stock, outstanding external condition bar some wear to heel and toe finish
Provenance: When introduced in 1948, the BSA Airsporter was not produced in .177 calibre. The .177 version was known as the Club, a slightly shorter rifle and lower on power. The very last Club models produced bore the prefix 'EE' to the serial number before manufacturing changed to make the rifle bodies universal in both calibres and the Club name was dropped. This example is probably one of the first true .177 Airsporters
