* A CONTINENTAL STYLE 20-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED WILSON, LONDON, no visible serial number,
circa 1790 with later percussion conversion, 35 1/4in. iron barrels (small dents), the breech end with carved raised flats to the top and sides, the top-flats inlaid with gold banners signed 'WILSON' and 'LONDON' together with gilt dots, London proofs and maker's mark 'R.W', applied boat-shaped fore-sight, moulded broad sighting notch to the top-tang, borderline engraved flat bevel-edged locks signed 'WILSON' in script and with chisel-carved stepped tails, further chisel-carving to the hammer breasts, hinged nipple protectors mounted on the original frizzen bridle points (both locks currently not holding on cock), walnut half-stock with carved panels of fish-scale in lieu of chequering (historic inlet repairs to butt), raised carved and moulded cheek-piece, iron heel-plate with complex engraved top-spur, broad pillar trigger guard bow with moulded and carved finial in the French fashion, turned ramrod pipes and probable original horn-tipped ramrod, fitted with iron swivels
