A 10-BORE (3IN.) TOPLEVER BAR-IN-WOOD HAMMERGUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1880, 29in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 2002), 3in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and full choke, likely of continental manufacture, pierced toplever, rebounding locks with carved percussion fences, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving, gold-inlaid 'LANCASTER' to the left and 'LONDON' to the right lockplate, broad triggerguard, permanently attached fore-end with side-opening release catch with horn finial, 14in. figured stock with sling swivels, including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 15oz.
