A SCARCE GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO RAD LEADER'S HEWER BY W.K.C., SOLINGEN,
circa 1939, with narrow 10in. clip-point 'hewer' style blade, the left side etched 'ARBEIT ADELT', the back edge of the blade with blind narrow fuller, the reverse of blade with makers mark, plated cross-guard with rolled quillions and central RAD device to the front, integral spiral ferrule, two-piece white celluloid grip screwed from the reverse side and carved, plated aluminium 'eagle's head' pommel, complete with its silver plated aluminium scabbard with knot and corn sheath engraving (small losses to plating), the main front panel with pebbled background, the reverse plain, and two squared suspension loops fitted, with its leather hanger
