A GOOD CASED 100-BORE PERCUSSION WEBLEY BENTLEY REVOLVER RETAILED BY G.E. LEWIS, LONDON, serial no. 540,
circa 1857 and fitted with Bentley's Patent hammer safe (No. 305 of Feb 4th 1853), with 3 5/8in. blued octagonal barrel signed 'G.E. LEWIS, LONDON' on the top-flat, later serial number added to left side of barrel throat, fully scroll engraved open iron frame, plain five shot cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, guarded trigger and self-cocking hammer, chequered walnut grips with moulded iron heel-plate and articulated under-barrel rammer, the whole retaining much apparently original finish and together with a 'J. Blissett' trade-labelled mahogany case lined and compartmented in green baize, with a number of period accessories including a flask, mould, cleaning rod, glass oil bottle, nipple key and cap tin
