A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION DEANE-HARDING PATENT REVOLVER, serial no. 5607L,
circa 1860, with 6in. blued octagonal barrel, the top-strap signed 'DEANE & SON, LONDON BRIDGE', two-piece borderline engraved blued frame, plain cylinder, double action mechanism, chequered walnut saw-handled grip, iron butt-cap, guarded trigger and hinged under-barrel rammer, the pistol retaining strong traces of original finish and together with its maker's oak storage case lined and compartmented in green baize and complete with an Adams mould, flask (mainspring broken), loading rod, turn-screw and cap-tin, all possibly added, the inside of lid with yellow parchment 'Deane Adams & Deane' trade label
