TRANTER'S PATENT' above the serial number, plain iron cylinder with forward locking notches, single action mechanism with spur trigger, chequered walnut grip, the pommel cap with traces of silver plating, complete with its retailers burr walnut veneered case lined and compartmented in blue baize and including a cleaning rod, turn-screw and oil bottle, parchment Cogswell & Harrison trade-label inside lid
