for 1895, 26in. nitro reproved barrels, Parkerifled to .22 Hornet from .360 CF (2 3/8in.) black powder express, raised matt rib, two folding leaf sights with white metal sight lines and marked for 50 and 100 yds, ramped bead fore-sight, the tubes engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON. NON-FOULING SMOOTH OVAL BORE RIFLING' (refreshed) and later '.22 HORNET.' to the left, the hand mounted with a later Parker Hale 1932 patent pivoting peep sight with acanthus scroll detailing to the sight and mount, slender toplever, bolted automatic safety with bright metal 'SAFE' plaque, fine acanthus scroll engraving, the sides of the slender action engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER PATENT', the underside with 'PATENT SAFETY', the triggerguard tang chequered, retaining some renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/4in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling eyes, snap fore-end, weight 7lb. 14oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
