A GERMAN THIRD REICH MODEL 1884/98 TYPE III BAYONET FOR THE MAUSER K98k CARBINE ISSUED TO THE KRIEGSMARINE, circa late 1930s, with 10 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso marked 'S 238 G' for Durkopp Werke, with '750 / d' over, steel cross-guard stamped 'O. 2371 K' which is an 'Inventarstempel' [inventory stamp] for the Kriegsmarine Ostseeflotte [Baltic Fleet], steel hilt with wooden grips, pommel with Waffenamt stamps, together with its steel scabbard numbered '7184', plus black leather frog maker-marked 'FRANZ BREHME', original blue on the blade, some surface rust, scabbard with some rust and pitting, 16 1/2 in overall
