dated for 1844, with 6in. barrel in the white, ordnance marks to top and side, solid top-tang, flat step-tailed borderline engraved lock marked with a crown over 'V.R. TOWER' and the date, borderline engraved hammer, walnut full-stock (gouged behind belt-hook) with brass furniture except fixed lanyard ring, belt-hook and stirrup swivel ramrod, the top back of wrist with an applied button-style escutcheon engraved '22'
