circa 1978, 28in. nitro barrels with 8mm ventilated matt top-rib, the breech end carved with bold Germanic scroll detailing, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, three-piece fore-end, automatic safety, hand-detachable lockplates with concealed flush release lever and gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, the action, lockplates and furniture profusely relief engraved with best bold Germanic scrollwork on a matt background, surrounded by floral and crosshatch borders, bright finish overall, gold-washed internal lockwork, 15 3/8in. well-figured pistolgrip stock including 3/4in. recoil pad, weight 7lb. 15oz., in its lightweight vinyl case
